Mexico to censor videogames

The Mexican Federal Government intends to take legal action against the video game industry as a measure to protect the physical safety and mental health of Mexican children and youth.

“It’s not a matter of prohibition, it’s also about video games, or I don’t know if they’re called video games now, which also have to do with this… well, playing at killing a person, well, what’s that?” - expressed Claudia Sheinbaum, president of Mexico.

I can’t find anything about this except some articles in Spanish that specifically say prohibition isn’t intended.

Exactly. The President herself isn’t promoting the ban. I wonder if Mexico’s lawmakers/voters will succeed with a ban (I’m not familiar with the country’s legislative process).

Probably it is related to this?
