Funny you should have mentioned centipedes earlier. I just found one in the house that was 12-15 cm or so, and bright red. it fell off the ceiling and was about to tag one of the cats. One of those bastards is enough to be considered an invasion. (it is absolutely pissing down at the moment).
still tried biting me long after I had decapitated it with a pair of heavy scissors. those things give me the creeps, and few things do.
exactly this species: (not my picture)

Nasty critter! Never ending battle of vertebrate and invertebrate. It’s these damn fruit flies that are getting us lately.
Funny – well, not. NOT! But one of them ran over my bare foot just 5 minutes ago while I was waiting for the dog to take a dump. About seven feet long, I think. Well, maybe 15cm. BIIIIG, though. The Taiwan kind. Slate grey with orange legs. Man, I don’t dislike bugs at all, except for those bastards. I went home and calmed myself by looking at the crickets on my patio. Crickets I can deal with. Chirping crickets must be one the nicest sounds on god’s good earth.

i found one of these in my kitchen, but had no idea what it was. one of the other teachers found me throwing knives at it from on top of the kitchen table.
Here is a video I shot last year of the big red and black millipede, Spirobolus Walkeri. They are mostly harmless, but like to hang around in gangs and annoy gardeners and people who own walls. You can handle them as long as you are careful. They are poisonous, so wash your hands.
Try not to lick them and don’t eat them.
OP, I think the ones you have on your wall are a different kind - not as big as these, right?
Lemme tell you about a place where roaches are the size of sneakers, spidders hand size and scorpions kitten size… Where you sit on a log, and the log moves because it is a boa…
Hahahaha, no it’s not big enough and I think the cats would have an issue with us getting a duck.
The damn things are growing though, now we have some that are 5x the size the initial ones! Tried mixing up some onion, garlic and chili to spray around the plants, but the millipedes don’t seem to care about that…
