I have been told that a foreigner’s minimum salary has to be a certain limit in order for the CLA to approve the work permit. Does anybody know for sure what the figure is? I have heard different figures, ranging from 42,000 to 48,000.

For teaching, there’s no minimum salary requirement; just a minimum number of hours (14, I think, for a primary work permit).
teaching’s blue collar work, innit?
