Ministry proposes Taiwan increase penalties for illegal abortions

So you think this will be a good or bad rule? Seems target unlawful ones?

That’s the DPPs Christian faction influencing it. They have a large Christian block inside the DPP. They were the ones who did not like Tsai
And how does one judge if it will affect ones mental health that’s very subjective.

I think this is good news. Taiwan has too many abortions as they are too easy to get.

People can currently get abortions up to 24 weeks.

At 24 weeks the baby is formed and looks like a human.

If you want to see for yourself… I wont post the photos for obvious reasons… However, here is a link. On the page the photos are blurred but you can click on them to enlarge and unblur

People how away their kids at all ages. It’s a normal practice here to give your kid to someone else. In my opinion the root of the problem is maturity, responsibility and…maturity. not abortion.

I would say, sure. Crack down on illegal Healthcare. Not just abortions. The amount of cult like religious guru type “medicine” is amazing. And loads of people get hurt by it. Focus on the root, not just one tiny branch of the beast.

Luckily Taiwan allows abortions. But the amount of psuedo doctors and cult crackpots here is true alarming! It’s in every crevice of society here

Heavy penalties for the practitioners, i feel some of the patients don’t even realise they are seeing some pseudo doctor, or doing a procedure they are not covered for.

If truly unqualified and without proper license, no jail time? That seems typically weak.

Yes, maybe better education in school. I think in Western countries people learn from school more and not internet like Taiwan

I prefer the abortion laws in Canada i.e. there aren’t any. That’s why our abortion rate is so high… oh wait, it’s actually lower the the US rate.
