Hi guys - I’ve been in Taiwan for a few months - but I’ve not handed my tax return/application thing in.
I understand this is only a problem if I stay for longer than a year - next year I’d have to pay double - is this true?
What can be done?
just go down there and file. I was also late and the lady said it didn’t matter. Apparently as we are foreigners, we are more likely to be owed money rather than having to pay money in, and I wouldn’t expect any government institution to WANT to have to pay money out…
I was told though, that the refund I would get will come around December time because I was late.
Yeah, you can file late. The fine is something really small, like 1%.
