Have you checked the hospitals, police stations, etc. Who are you, exactly? Are you quite sure he wants to be found? Is he maybe avoiding you?
Just saying, is all. If I DID know of his whereabouts, I think I’d be wary of posting the information or giving it to a complete stranger on the Internet without knowing for absolute certainty who I was passing the information to.

It’s all over Tainan, mate. His fellow Mongolian students, classmates and everyone is looking for him. If someone knows of his whereabouts and feels uncertain whether or not they wish to divulge the info to a stranger I guess they could contact NCKU directly.

Yup. Don’t give ME the info, I don’t even know the kid. Passed him in the halls a few times, but that’s it.

He’s only 18, and the situation stinks of foul play :frowning: I know not many foreigners run with the mafia crowds, but someone might overhear SOMETHING, so it’s worth spreading the word.

They’ve found him face down I’m afraid. Don’t know much more than that at the moment but a very sad ending

Heartbreaking story.

They found him in a river (運河). Right now there are no suspicions of homicide, but the cause of death is still undetermined. ( tw.news.yahoo.com/article/url/d/ … 2gook.html ) I’m guessing it was homicide though – how else would he end up in a river?

He maybe fell in?

I suppose.

Anping Canal. Perhaps he was walking along late at night and stumbled in… sad story. Poor guy :frowning:

Damn, what a shame. Sorry to hear that.

I would guess that they would look at several possibles:

  1. was he depressed, possibility of suicide?
  2. relationship problems leading to above?
  3. was he drunk at the time?
  4. did he have enemies who could/would do him in?
  5. could it have been actually an accident , were the circumstances such that it could be possible/likely?

Shit! That’s near my house…

Sorry to hear it ended this way. I was hoping he had just gone on a bender with a few mates and would turn up in a week or two.

Very sad story.
I’ve had a small bit of contact with some of the Mongolian students at NCKU over the years and have found them all to be great folks. Tough, rowdy, fun-loving with big hearts. All did miss their homes and family very much. A lot of home-sickness.

RIP Dulguun Bayarsaikhan

That’s terribly sad… I was hoping he just had a very big night as well.

RIP Dulguun Bayarsaikhan, and my thoughts go out to your family for on what must be heart-wrenching journey for them. xxx
