Model Rockets, are they ok to build and launch in taiwan?

(Not sure where to put this)

There is a big wide open park with no power lines or trees that is ideal for rocket launching.
I want to start building some and launching them for fun.
I see lots of people with large RC Planes at the park…
Does anyone know if model rockets are legal in Taipei / Taiwan in general?

The question is, where the heck would you get model rocket engines in Taiwan? Do you know where to get it?

I just make my own rocket motor… you need paper tubes, blackpowder, mallet and non sparking wooden or aluminum rod. It’s iffy though, they work fine for fireworks but not model rocketry.

Feels like in Taiwan it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission… seeing how people shoot all manners of fireworks (which has more potential to cause fires than model rockets) without any regulation.

Just be careful you don’t fly one over the new “PRC no fly zone”. Or give China Air Defence a quick call with the details first

People launch ‘rockets’ every day in Taiwan, and they explode in mid-air, no one except some foreigners complain about it, no one gets fined either.
