Moderator issue

I was hanging out in the top secret moderator’s back-slapping forum, when I came across this:

:astonished: Obedience chip?!?!

I did some research on this and discovered something quite horrifying: When you become a moderator they put an implant into your brain to ensure total compliance with the will of the Maomatrix. The OS interacts with your residual personality so that you are unaware of what has been done, and don’t think it is strange that you are now able to connect directly to forumosa without having use a keyboard or monitor.

I have the modern system, which is all under the skin and connects using WiFi technology, but Wolfie has the earlier version. He doesn’t come to the happy hours because of the unsightly plug socket in the back of his skull.

Also, he’s running Implant Explorer 2 - the rest of us are on IE3.5 - and it’s obviously not very reliable. Moderator Wolf shows disturbing tendencies towards independent thought, and also asks questions. And now he is aware that he has been tampered with. This is not healthy in a moderator, but it doesn’t look like he can be upgraded. You see, his brain is not large enough to accomodate the new software alongside all that learning he did in his younger days.

Sadly, IE2 cannot be uninstalled without causing ‘brainfreeze’ in the subject, which may not be fixable. Wolf can probably not be demoderated without turning him into a moron, and we already have enough of those.

This is an appeal to potential donors who have grey matter that they don’t use. Help us to upgrade our much-loved Wolfie! If you, or anyone you know, has a brain with low mileage and plenty of unused capacity forumosa needs you.

Thank you.

Stragbasher,

Just remember: “There is no spoon.”

Matrixly yours,
CK

Hahahahaha!

Strag that was great. Anything that spoofs the Matrix always gives me a kick. :notworthy:

Sounds more like the Borgs to me…

Matrixly yours,
CK[/quote]Actually, I leave all my moderating dicisions to my collection of wooden spoons, I’ll be lost without them.

Ha…you guys have been in Taiwan this long and you still haven’t figured it out? You sell your position. “Want me to merge this thread? Well, my kitty needs braces.” wink, wink.

I can’t believe I’m working with a bunch of dummies.

Really? I can. Haven’t you read any of Fluffy’s posts?

Matrix had a terrible ending.

Meaning that Wolf will have a similar terrible ending?
“Ah shit, I’ve gone and rebooted myself!”

Are you referring to the end of the first movie or the trilogy as a whole?

SteveZeAuthor,

The trilogy as a whole. The first movie had a great ending.

I took the blue pill.

Complete bunk. The final scene was corny, I’ll give you that, but the way the war ended was more realistic and refreshing than the normal “happily ever after” bull you’d normally see.
