Monthly NHI premiums

My salary is $50,000 a month, and I am paying $691 a month for my national health insurance.

Does this figure sound about right

I have talked to some others making approx. the same amount I am, and they are paying considerably less than I am.

Can anyone please give me some insight as to how much I should be paying

It sounds too high to me. Maybe your employer is making you pay all of it; the employer is supposed to contribute as well.
