How a number of unaccountable global international folk fly business class for various meetings, eat caviar, produce lovely brochures and publications, and then pat themselves on the back (with fawning media) promising lofty goals that likely won’t be met. Then Al Gore lets a huge fart rip to wrap it all up and the academics sniff it and analyze it and classify it as Patchouli,. Isn’t that UN 101? :face_with_monocle: :laughing: :grin:

I think he had his documentary about polar bears drowning as the ice disappears under him.

Keep in mind that polar bears are very good swimmers, so much so that they can almost be considered aquatic animals. They have been known to attack and eat whales!! I read somewhere they could swim for weeks.

I could swim for maybe a couple of hours locally.
While I was swimming I could almost be considered an aquatic animal.
Then I’d die.
Polar bear would, I assume, be the same, just different numbers and more points for style.

That wee burst of climate change denial vibe was a useful counter irritant, so all calmed down by and about the BS, I reconciled myself to just ticking the boxes, since it isnt worth getting in a fight over and drawing attention to my…er,body swerves around official policy. Turns out Google translate does a good enough job on the Chinese sub-goals.

Then I had to give the number of weeks per topic for a selected list of topics, including, for example, Quality Education and Marine Pollution.

No problem, thinks I.

Naturally I strive for Quality Education all the time, so that’s every week, or 18
The marine pollution related chapter took a couple of weeks, so 2

NOPE. They have to TOTAL 18

So you can have 16 weeks of Quality Education, and 2 weeks of (presumably crap) education on Marine Pollution, but you can’t have Quality Education on Marine Pollution.

So SURPRISE! Its utter shite.

And it wouldn’t save anyway.
