I found this works well. With the added benefit that even if they do locate you, the wind is sufficient enough to prevent their landing.
The downside for me is that the whine of the fan gives me a bad sleep sometimes.
Those mosquito pads give me horrible nightmares so I don’t use it unless there is a massive infestation.
