I think someone can be both famous and underrated. One of my personal favorites is Warren Zevon. Great singer-songwriter and storyteller, but he’s mostly known for just 2 songs. He’s catalog is deep, and every album has at least a couple of gems.

you can find better audio videos on youtube but this shows the energy from the crowd also

I have it in my head that they supported Led Zep, but that could be an urban myth.
