A brochure that caught my eye: “Stillness & Movement Mountain Retreat”. Might be good for people who need a weekend break and need their yoga, meditation, etc. It’s organized by the East West Culture Project.
[quote]EWCP is proud to present its second public retreat. The Spring Stillness and Movement Mountain Retreat is an exclusive two days/nights retreat to be held at a luxurious hot-spring resort nestled in one of YangMing Mountains gorgeous valleys, just over an hours drive from downtown Taipei.
The program is designed to offer participants of all levels of experience a chance to immerse themselves in time-proven relaxation and rejuvenation practices for the body and mind.
This unique course will include:
•Qi Gong, the ancient Chinese art of aligning breath with physical action and pure mindfulness.
•Yoga, with highly qualified instructors.
•Meditation, in the traditional Tibetan
7-point style, along with more advanced visualization techniques.
The highlight of the retreat will be a special lecture followed by a Q&A session with the Venerable Khenchen Rinpoche, a highly respected and accomplished meditation master who has taught thousands of students all over the world for the past 30 years.
The daily schedule will allow for opportunities to enjoy the top-notch facilities on site (including natural hot springs, exquisite dining, gym, pool, etc.), as well as the gorgeous hiking trails and crisp mountain air.
Emphasis will be placed on mindfulness throughout all activities, allowing participants to cultivate this invaluable skill even whilst relaxing.
It is the EWCPs intention to offer a practical getaway, combining the relaxation of a perfect vacation with instruction on special, beneficial techniques that will be highly useful in daily life long after the end of the weekend retreat.
Prices start from NT$10,000 with with scholarships and discounts available. The cost is inclusive of all meals, round-trip coach transportation between Taipei and the retreat site, luxurious accommodation on a shared basis, use of all facilities, tutorial fees and materials.
