Both Taipei Times and China Post gave Aussi movie Animal House top marks, but neither listed where its playing. Can anyone help? Some info on where to look in the future would be great,also. I know the China Post has a listing page but the last time I looked it featured even less than their page listings.

Found it with a bit of inspired luck - Ambassador on Changchun. We were passing and I went in to check for another movie’s show times - Animal Kingdom was starting in 10 mins… I should’ve guessed it would be playing there - last non-major movie I watched - Winter’s Bones was at Ambassador - same cool little movie theater, too.
Movie itself was as advertised - complex and intense (very, at moments, I’m sure you’ll agree). Aspects of it also pissed me off. I want to go back and watch it again and try and work out my reactions to it.

Good link. I guess Pope in the movie was modeled on him. Brilliantly played by Ben Mendelsohn. Quite ordinary looking but as you got to see him in action over the course of the movie he became a very scary man, indeed.
