Hi, we just moved to Tianmu and I haven’t yet seen a music store (as in guitar shop …), anybody know of any in either Tianmu or Shihlin? Thanks, Xpet.
there’s one on wenlin road north of the night market, the little stretch of wen lin that is only seperated from chungshan by the elevated train. don’t know if they have guitars though. i remember it might be more piano oriented.

That store has guitars. Some Yamaha and others but not Fender or Gibson. They make you take your shoes off before you go in.
I once was in a guitar store that asked patrons to a) take off their jackets, b) take off their belts and c) put on very thin white cotton gloves before trying out guitars or, in my case, basses - very high-end instruments I must admit. a) and b) I guess are o.k. and understandable, but I felt that c) was just a tad over the top …
Thanks all, I’ll look for that one store on Wenlin. Xpet.
Just wanted to report that I went to the store, played a little bass, had a nice talk with the guys and just before I left they asked me: “Did you hear about our store on forumosa.com?” When I said yes, they said that “a friend” had told them that a foreigner might be coming by as he’d been given their name & location on forumosa …
That’s very cool indeed! ![]()
… I thought so too! ![]()
Hey sandman, I read in the infamous “fred frontier benefit concert thread” that you’ve got a concert coming up, care to share where, when & who you play with? Only if you want to “out” yourself of course …
Curious, Xpet.
Ah, interesting! I must admit I hadn’t heard of your band, what’s your line-up, need a bass-man?
Have fun Saturday, maybe I’ll come by if my family lets me off the hook …
