I’m looking for a simple room with a piano to teach voice students. Anyone know of places to rent for hourly rates? NYC was filled with these kinds of rehearsal spaces, but I don’t know where to start looking in Taipei.

I took piano lessons in Jingmei and they had lots of studio rooms with pianos. Look for a Yamaha music school (i.e. ones that have a Yahama sign, but no garage full of repaired scooters and helmets for sale) and see if you can rent a room from there. And are you taking students?

If you’re looking to open a school, there’s a music school down the street from me on Hsin Yi Rd. that’s been for sale for a little while. They have plenty of nice little practice rooms, just right for a piano.
What’s the cross street? I’ll go take a look.
