could your hard drive maybe have a virus? you should plug it in and then right click on the drive and scan it with your anti-virus program.
I guess I am going to have to try and recover everything. I can get some things to open as long as I use a program to open them - like documents, photos, and music - as long as I don’t try to open them directly from my disk drive. I guess in addition to all of other unexpected costs that have come up this week, I will have to shell out the cash for a new HD drive, but at least it’ll have a nice brand-new case to go into.
