They don’t have Mars Bars to my eternal dismay. Not sure about Reese’s cause I’ve never had one and the name alone puts me off trying.
I make awesome peanut butter cups, though mine taste more like the ones from Wallmart. (Mine are creamy, unlike the gritty and dry texture of Reeses’ cups.) PM me if interested. I prefer cash and wire transfers to kingdoms.
ichbinjenny, I’ve always wanted to try making those, but I can’t bring myself to eat them anymore. 
I’d be interested in seeing a recipe, though, just for kicks.
I’ve tried making them before (many years ago), but I also could never get them to taste like a Reeses - they generally just tasted like peanut butter and chocolate (which is good of course, but not quite the same).
hmmm, I wonder if using that peanut powder they sell in the grocery store here in the filling would get you closer to the texture of the Reeses 
I’ve lived all over since 1996 and never saw Resee’s PB Cups overseas until this year…I was checking out at my local supermarket here in the UAE and there they were! I almost had a heart attack I was so excited! They’re my favorite and I always grab a stash when I return to the US and keep them in my freezer overseas, savoring them for ages until I make another trip home.

I was in Wellman’s yesterday. No Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups now, though the store has had them in the past. And no Mars Bars either.
Tasters, which is nearby and stocks a small selection of similar snacks, didn’t have any either.
My current love interest brought me three reeses peanut butter cups yesterday, and my feelings for him grow with every chocolatey peanut buttery bite!
(he got them from a student who’d gone to Canada, unfortunately not bought in taiwan)
Willie’s Deli in Tianmu has a couple bags of small Mars Bars (top floor, back right corner). No peanut butter cups now, though – the laoban says it’s especially hard to get them in the summer.
It’s a nice store stocked with all sorts of things a homesick expat might want.

I don’t know. It’s not a place I frequent, though it’s certainly a pleasant-enough place to hang out given the benches inside and all that uncommon food.
I picked up a 50 g bag of porcini mushrooms there this evening for NT$135. Or at least I hope they’re porcini. The bag says “procini,” and another sign there labelled them as “Puccini” mushrooms. 
I also make very good peanut butter cups! I haven’t made them in a while, though, and they’re better when I can get real graham crackers, but I used something else last time and it worked out okay. I may have to do that soon. Reeses are my fav, too. And if you want a real Reeses flavor, and you can get it, you can use Reeses brand peanut butter. Basically, they’ll taste like the peanut butter you use.
Thanks cranky. Do they have rye bread? Their about page lists many types of bread that the Ritz makes but it doesn’t say what they carry.
Corned beef, corned beef hash, and pastrami? Looks like I’ll have to go there right now. I don’t remember G&G carrying those, I must have missed it. 
Yes. They were sold out when I went by tonight, so I didn’t see it myself. But the laoban told me they get it in every day.

A really good selection of deli meats and cheeses sliced to order.
A broad selection of hard to find items. Some I noticed and/or bought are low fat cottage cheese, small containers of sour cream, pitted olives, green olives, selection of pickles, vinegars, hot sauces. A wide selection of regular size cold cereals, Refried beans, chili, enchilada sauce, grains, saurekraut, cake mixes (a bit spendy) candy like Milky Way, Butterfinger and 3 Musketeers, Pop tarts, Filo for baklava, etc. and sooo much more.
They will deliver anywhere in Taiwan at your expense. Est. Tiamu to south Taipei County is 200 NT.
He was very cooperative about working out a phone order plan where you just call and place your order if you have been there before and know what you want and the app. price. He will call and let you know how much to transfer after your order has arrived. Willy lived in New York long enough that his English is excellent. He’s obviously very cooperative and trustworthy. He expects the same in return.
BTW, don’t forget to check out the basement floor and wine selection. Also some hard to find beers. Take a look at his spices too. Sage was about 1/2 what I have been paying at FE21.
His bread is made and delivered daily. I was there late but he did have rye bread. He told me his selection is usually pretty broad. (Tonight, I get pastrami and swiss, the real stuff, on rye with stone ground mustard and kosher dill) :discodance:
I would also suggest that you already have a good idea of price and availability of some of the items in other places. For example, his tonic water was about double that at RT Mart. Yet, other stuff was about 1/2 price of what other places are.
