My mother has dual citizenship from Taiwan and the US. Can I, as well?

Hi everyone, I was born in the US and I am 22 years old. My mom has dual citizenship from Taiwan and the US. Can I get dual citizenship too? Are there any obligations (financial? have to live there for a certain amount of time?) Thank you!!

Edit: Forgot to say my mother was born in Taiwan!

You were born with dual nationality. This question has been answered here numerous time so look around for more detail.

You can easily get a ROC passport as a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_without_household_registration by producing the right documentation at your nearest TECO. But the bundle of rights associated with citizenship can only be exercised by those with household registration in Taiwan. To establish household registration and get a national ID card at your age requires minimum residency requirements in Taiwan.

uh, didnt they have to be under 20 to claim ?
