By taxi, instead, it’s a straight line, same road as Costco is, past the gas station, Global Mall, Lin Family Gardens and then you are there, next to Chungwha Telecom.

Just a correction - the Lin Family Gardens are not on that road (all the other landmarks are).

The 307 bus stops almost in front of the new Immigration Dept office and maybe 245 too.

Be careful when taking the 245, as there are three similar but nonetheless different 245 routes. The one that would stop near the new office would be the green one, not the blue or red – unless things have changed in the last year or two. It’s easy to get confused about this, so it’s best to avoid that bus unless you’re familiar with the differences.

from Banqiao station, the 307 goes right by there, but you also have to be careful you get on the 307 going in the right direction. Catch it at the first platform as soon as you exit the MRT. If you catch the 307 on the second (or third?) platform then it will be going in the wrong direction (north).

Get off the 307 right after you pass the gas station on the right/big newly renovated police station on the left.

For all this trouble with the bus confusion, seems like a couple hundred for a taxi would be well worth it.

I always walk from the Banqiao MRT station.
