Hello,
my wife got a letter (I’m here based on a Foreign Spouse visa) to pay 674 (each month) to the BLI (Bureau of Labour Insurrance) for the National Pension fund. Its 674 / month. They write if she doesn’t pay up we get fined 3000 at the end of the year
Question is does she have to pay it or isn’t she somewhat already covered by me (I work in a big sized company).

Regardless of what private arrangements you have all ROC nationals are required by law to pay to the pension fund.
I pay even though I have private coverage as well.
you have to pay…and then if your wife will leave Taiwan forever, she can require refund.
