Need help searching for a Chinese book title

My girlfriend (who’s Taiwanese) and I are planning to move to the US (where I’m from) after I finish my Chinese studies here.

Her birthday’s coming up, and one of the things I’d like to give her is a good book about moving to the US. We’ve already lived abroad (in Paris), so she’s pretty well prepared for the actual sensation of living in another country, what I would like is a good book about moving to the US in particular, and I want to find it in Chinese.

I can’t read or write Chinese (see how much longer we’ll be here?), so I was wondering if someone could do a search for me. Please suggest any books you might find interesting.

Keep in mind, I don’t want any corny “My experience in America was so cool and these are the places I saw.” I don’t say that to be pretentious. It’s just that judging from what I see on TV here, I figure that there would be lots of books about that. I would really like to find something that’s pretty well written, by someone who really lived in the US and interacted, became a part of the community. Not someone who went as an outside observer.

I know this is a pretty big thing to ask, so a big thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out.

Did you leave your "N"s in Paris?

I 'ear that 'appens.

I think it was actually my shift key that ate the N.

As you’ve exhibited, it’s mostly the h’s that get lost in Paris. N’s are pretty safe.

I probably don’t have to mention, too, that certain words go over there with a “th” and come home with a “z.”
