Was it 8.0 or 8.01 (check Help → About)? You should use 8.01, which fixes a security hole in 8.0. It’s the same security hole found in Firefox 1.03 (Netscape and Mozilla/Firefox are virtually the same).

Apparently installing Netscape 8 affects the way some XML pages are viewed with Internet Explorer (if that bothers you).

I just uninstalled netscape 8.0 for reason that since i installed it a few days ago I got messages that my HDD wasn’t big enough anymore, seems like netscape was eating my HDD space.
