Next Saturday (5/25) is Taiwan National Cleanup Day. Among a wide variety of other cleanup efforts, Taiwan Adventure Outings (TAO) will host 20 local cleanups around the island. On Sunday, 5/26, we’ll be hosting a discussion with the founders of TAO and two other Taiwan-based environmentalists. Join the free event to learn more about how the cleanups went and what else we as individuals can do to make an impact in Taiwan: https://www.accupass.com/go/trashtalk

Next Wednesday we’ll host a discussion about what to expect when working for a startup. Silicon Valley companies have created a ripple effect in the world in more ways than one. We’ll discuss how job seekers’ expectations and misconceptions are shaping the hiring landscape for startups and focus on positive strategies for job seekers to choose a company where they will be a great fit.

Next Thursday (7/25) All Hands will host a free community talk back event. The goal of the event is to share the topics, ideas, questions, and needs that job seekers, business owners, freelancers and other professionals would like to understand better or hear discussed in clear terms. Hope to see you there!

This Thursday All Hands Taiwan will be hosting an event sharing resume, coverletter, and LinkedIn advice from a panel of professional head hunters.

Next Saturday will be the first annual All Hands International Job Fair. There will be (non-teaching) jobs specifically seeking foreign talent as well as roles that can be filled by either a Taiwanese or foreigner. Lots of great companies on board: Gogoro, TrendMicro, EMQ, KKDay, Subway, and many more. There will be panel discussions throughout the day, tacos, Hainan chicken, and Taihu beer on tap. Hope to see you there.
