If I were a gal, I’d damn well want to see a picture of a guy before I rushed off to meet him! Why on earth should there be any difference between the sexes in this regard? So the male models hawking goods in the mags and TV ads are not just as pretty as the girls? And the film stars likewise? Etc., etc. It’s the 21st century, Embryo. The ladies are just as entitled to be picky about appearance as the guys. Many modern girls like their male companions to be clean, fit and well-groomed, among other things – slobs need not apply. What’s more, I think you missed that vital reference to the eyes. Ever heard the old saw about the eyes being windows to the soul? Cliched as it is, it’s very true. You can read a person’s character through and through by looking at the eyes. So, to repeat the bit you missed, it ain’t just a matter of features and contours – the spirit and temperament, or inner beauty or whatever you care to call it, shines out through those eyes. Inner and outer beauty are both essential parts of the whole for most discerning people – though if you’re happy to do without one or the other, or maybe both, then jolly good luck to you!
But actually, this thread is not about any kind of meat marketing. Miaka is just looking for friends to socialise with. We’re curious to know what she looks like, and are having a little banterous fun at the same time. Nothing to get one’s knickers in a twist about.
