I just arrived in Tainan and I’ve walked around a lot but I haven’t found any good places to socialize and interact with people my age (mid twenties). Restaurants are nice but not for meeting people and the only bar that looked like it could be a nice hangout ended up being really sleazy.

Theres life in Tainan, keep looking. And Kaohsiung is only one hour bus ride away.
Fewer young people these days, for starters, and Tainan isn’t exactly a hotspot for launching a career. I had a bunch of friends from Tainan. They’re now all around Taiwan, except for in Tainan.
