New medicines for whole-body atopic dermatitis (eczema)

I have had atopic dermatitis for more than 20 years.

I want to try one of these new medicines:
Dupixent, Adtralza, Adbry, Corectim, Rinvoq, Olumiant, Xeljanz

Are they available in Taiwan? Where can I get them? I don’t need to get all of these medicines. If I can get any one of these medicines, that’s enough.

And do they prescribe the medicine to every atopic dermatitis patient? Or is there some rules who can get prescribed and who cannot be prescribed?

Which hospital should I go in Taiwan?

Try Shanghai Pharmacy.

And how can I ask this type of question on PTT? I went to this link (看板 medstudent 文章列表 - 批踢踢實業坊) but I can’t find “post” button here. Also it seems not many Kanbans are very active like Forumosa.com

Just go to NTU hospital and see a dermatologist, it’s not rocket science.

These sound promising. I was sure they’d let another fifty years pass before they tried something besides corticosteroids. I can’t say I blame them; dermatology is an elusive and thankless field of study. Please post updates.

Try bentonite clay. You can mix it up in water or your smoothie or whatever else you like to drink. Comes in powder form. Make sure to get the edible type because that’s been tested for heavy metals.

Depends on your severity level. They’ll probably start out with some topical therapies before moving to systemic therapies. Even then, there are many different classes of targeted therapies and they’ll probably start with a TNFi before moving to a JAK or IL17/23. You can probably go to dermatologists or immunologists to see what they’ll give you. Lots of exciting treatments in this field lately. Good luck!

There is a young Taiwanese Canadian dermatologist at Adventist. Lots of patients, lots of waiting, but very effective.

There seem to be so many branches. Where do you mean and why is the Taiwanese Canadian doctor so popular?

She’s aggressive. I think Icon means the International care center at the Adventist hospital on Bade.

The Adventist hospital in Taipei. And actually he’s in the normal, NHI covered availability.

He’s good at prescribing the meds that hit the spot. In my case, actually made quite an improvement.

Now if I could remember his name.

I think it is this one:

I’ve seen him too. Both were good.

Neither offered anything but steroids though.

For certain conditions, steroids might help. As long as it is not long term.

Like UV treatments, all under supervision and moderation. That’s why it is exciting to have new stuff.
