Hi!
I’m married with a Taiwanese and working for a Taiwanese company as an International Sales. I got some news from another foreign friend, who also married with Taiwanese and he is International Sales too, that CLA gave a call to his office and told his employer that they cannot register him because foreign spouses can only work in very exclusive(technical) positions. Does anyone have an idea about this?
Thanks…
Completely false. Someone, intentiionally or otherwise, miscommunicated.
Feiren’s right.
Register him? As what? You don’t need to be registered by the CLA. If the company wants to hire you, it can, as long as you have the required qualifications. Sorry, CLA, they don’t require your permission.
Bollocks.
If if has a resident visa and ARC due to being married to a Taiwanese then he can work where he likes without asking permission.
Sorry, that part is maybe misleading. If the company wants to hire you, it can. THE COMPANY decides if you are qualified to work for them, not the CLA.
Sandman has quoted himself in a post again.
Isn’t this against the rules? Perhaps Mr. Sandman Esq. should be . . . . . .

I’ll choose this one thanks Quest, since they already know me there and this way, I’ll be doing essentially the same job, except now I’ll be getting paid for it.
