Doesn’t look like any folks here plan to attend, but I’ll still be there, since I told someone a few days ago (a non-poster) that the GC will be held, and we’ve never discussed it not being held today. Last night’s “announcement” was the first I heard of any cancellation. Since it wasn’t discussed by the group beforehand, I’ll assume it doesn’t hold weight.
Anyway, if anyone wants to play chess, scrabble, or boggle, hope over to the Witch House around 3. I’m duty bound to attend, so I’ll be there.
I would create a ream consisting of Me, Tetsuo, Miltownkid and 914. With our super powers combined, we would form…Captain Forumosa!!! Totally unstoppable, esp againsn’t that group of elders.

Didn’t mean to step on any toes. That’s why I said:
I was just worried that people might turn up and find that there was noone there, becuase everyone was off at the HH. I also wanted to know whether to cancel the booked table, after reassuring the boss that we’d be there every Sunday.
Anyway, it looks like a few people are going. I might pop in soon, if I’m ready in time.

Well, seeing as all us except Bu lai en got knocked out of the first round of the Settlers tournement today, then we will most likely be at Games Club.
Since the tourny is not at the Witch’s House, then as far as I know it is as per usual.
Damn it. If I could have only gotten my turn to add the one piece to connect my two roads and steal back my longest road card from that ruddy bastard before he got the largest army and won…

I have learned the Chinese for “wood”, “clay”, “wheat”, and “ore”.
Yeah, I got through to the semis A win and a 2nd was enough.
On Sunday, I came third in my first game. Nasty first set-up with both my first placements getting cut off by others. I thought I had a slight chance of getting through to the final only if I completely thrashed everyone in the second game. So I placed my first settlements on just three good numbers thinking I’d do very well if they came up a lot. It was alright, but still ended up being close. I needed one more resource to win in my lat turn, but couldn’t get it - noone was trading anymore, as everyone was so close. The next guy won, leaving me in second place. But it was so close, that a win wouldn’t have got me through to the final anyway.
Although I in principle really enjoy the game-trips I think we should just goto another game-cafe or something instead of Jiufen because even if the typhoon doesn’t diretly hit, the weather will be lousy.
We could take advantage of the typhoon and go surfing?

Maybe Jiufen on a nicer day (are there any more of those left or have we used them all up during these last few weeks?). Just put the address up (and sms as usual).
Seeing as there’s a typhoon, best not to daytrip it tomorrow. Let’s just meet at Style, which is around the corner from Witch House (not that I’ve been there yet).

Usual time (2PM-3PM start). I’m sure we’ll be able to get games from WH if we want, and move there later if we want too (the booking isonly til 5PM).
Simply that with every other typhoon, it’s been gone all day by the time that games club time rolled around.
This one however is still blowing (though the rain has stopped - I spoke too soon, there it goes again… and it’s stopped). Will just have to see what the weathers doing closer to the time. If it’s still bad, I think we will just have to settle for Settlers online :P. At least they have some other online games to play.
