I’m new to the forum and excited to be here! I’m really interested in learning more about Taiwan—its culture, lifestyle, and everything it has to offer. I’m also passionate about sustainable living, so I’d love to connect with others who share an interest in eco-friendly topics and maybe even explore how Taiwan is embracing green technologies.
Looking forward to chatting and learning from you all!
The green technology could be better. Taiwan is currently phasing out nuclear power. It currently is how 9-10% of the island’s electricity is produced, it was at 20% years ago. I personally think it might be better to phase out fossil fuels first (fossil fuels generate about 80% of the island’s electricity.)
but… Nuclear might not be a great idea to have on a fault line because shit happens, just look at the Fukushima accident.
It seems like it’s the first time you leave home
Don’t worry, the exciting moments pass quickly. And above all, don’t forget that traffic in Taiwan is very exciting.
You can learn a lot here. But there are a lot of grumpy people who post here. Taiwan’s great but it has its share of problems. And there is a lot to learn.
