I am talking about nice, high quality, pretty expensive ones, not the crappy ones at night markets and watsons and stuff. Where can I find nice slippers?

Department stores. Sogo. Saw some lovely Bally ones if I can be so incredibly fey as to say slippers can be lovely.

In Rome, do as the Romans do … in Taiwan … so, cheap plastic flip-flops is the way to go … and blue is the color of choice …
