I was disturbed today by an inconsiderate puppy that had fallen into a hole in the woods behind my house, and being stupid, I went and pulled him out.
Meanwhile, my neighbours had been on the phone. So I emerged from the jungle to find the authorities waiting to take him away and make puppy stew, or whatever it is they do with lost dogs in Taiwan.
They’re letting me try to find a home for him, but I’m leaving town in a few days and if nobody steps up then I have to hand him over. I’ll be really upset if this happens, but I can’t take him myself.
He’s a couple of months old, seems to be in good shape and of good character, and I’m sure he will be a great companion for someone. Please please give him the chance to join your family.

Well done, Loretta; if that pup had been taken to the pound, the chances of him/her dying from a nasty disease or being killed after two weeks would have been very high.

Just to remind everyone of the urgency for this; the pup needs a temporary home immediately, as Loretta is going away. TASOS will be happy to provide any assistance needed to get this pup into someone’s home, including shots and training.

Good work Loretta. Unfortunately I already have 6 stray dogs living with the wife and I otherwise would take him. I will ask people I know if they are looking for a pup.
He turns out to be a she, and she’s settled down a lot. Currently stretched out at my feet instead of cowering behind the bamboo like Sunday. She’s still a little shy, but curious and alert. I caught her exploring my bedroom this afternoon. I’m sure she’ll settle into a permanent home very easily.
Nice thing: no need for housetraining! We had a little accident during the first shower of her life, but otherwise she has held her pee and poo until I take her to the park. And quiet too, no crying or barking. You really couldn’t ask for a more perfect little pup!
