I was told by a travel agent that you cannot get a landing visa in Beijing. You will have to stop in Hong Kong, and visit the Visa Office to arrange a 1 month visitors visa. Or most Taiwanese travel agents can arrange the visa for you.They are working towards developing a landing visa in time for the olympics, but as far as I know it is not implemented yet.
