I am being told that even after water comes on, it will take at least 5 hours before I will actually get water in the house.

Itā€™s been 30 minutes since they said water was restored, and no water is coming into our complex yet.

Where I used to live isnā€™t far from the district office and itā€™s definitely at least a 50 feet climb.

So it might take a few hours.

Itā€™s been 4.5 hours. Hope there will be water by tomorrow morning or going to work will suck.

Last time this happened it was a 5 hour water outage, where I used to live it was out for a lot longer than that. This is why I said it might take a day beyond restoration of service. That time it was a more limited outage too.

Danshui is way too vulnerable to this kind of stuff. Anything happens around guandu area and the placeā€™s cut off.

I wonder what Google, tsmc and all other massive factory like economic entities think about such a simple issue being this level of problematic. I thought Taiwan solved such issues (on time) a decade ago :thinking: :grimacing: :shushing_face:

Welp, we are now 12 hours in with no water.

Monday 10am. Still nothing in my building in danhai. Yesterday the local businesses like ramen and Carrefour were open before the announcement that the repair had been made, so Iā€™m wondering how they had water since everything said the whole city past guandu was out.

I took another shower today.

Finally got water back. Water entered complex at 7:30. Tool 4.5 hours before we got water in the house.

Just in case they are redoing pipes and some chemical madness is inside, might want to flush things out for a bit, after a while of the water being back (as to not suck in said pollutants into your building).
