North Korea the generous?!?!?

Now North Korea is getting in on the tsunami relief donations.

They seem to be giving US$150,000. I hate to be too cynical, but I am wondering if there is more to this than pure charity. What do you think?

The same could be said, or thought, about any country offering aid. When Taiwan announced its considerable donation, the government minister pointed out that it could help raise Taiwan’s international profile and gain it admission to the World Health Organisation. So what? Whatever the motive, the important thing is that the resources get to the people who need them.

North Korea has been on the receiving end of international aid and charity for many years. Its donation is just a gesture of solidarity.

You’re kidding right Juba? Surely?
