Because… majority agreement without rational explaination doesn’t count for much, IMO. What if the majority agrees that liberal viewpoints are offensive… or that conservative viewpoints are offensive? This thread was started by you, however, and you can put up a poll, if you’d like. I always have trouble setting up polls.
What I’d like, is for someone to explain to me why a simple, straight-forward, unambiguous insult is worse than a finessed, round-about, often misunderstood insult.
Don’t get me wrong… If we are to enforce a ban of direct insult… I’ll do my best to do so.
I just don’t understand the need to do so unless sarcasm as insult is banned as well. Its like saying killing with a knife is acceptable but killing with a gun will not be permitted…
