In theory i agree with the logic. In practice it is hard to ignore reality. In order for automation to make every all peachy, some kind of large scale socialism needs to take effect. Although i would love to believe that will happen, i find it hard to lie to myself.
Maybe after a fee generations thina will pan out. But humans tend to not be intelligent enough nor compassionate enough to come close to this becomming a reality in any of our lifetimes. When the big auto giants of the worldnstart handing over cash for public servces in the billions, we can come back to this conversation. Meanwhile…i support jobs so people dont go homeless and can go see the doctor
All it would take is one rich guy like Gates or Buffet to allow their AI and robots to take control of their resources and provide for the betterment of all people. Once robots are self sustaining and self reliant, people will wake up and follow the example after they see what can be accomplished.
Funny. AI and robotics could actually make Marxism’s classless society a reality.
Yes. I think most people know this could be true and effective. But the reality of human greed and power is not one that will end well. These ultra rich could do things like this, but there are other rich people and governments who may not agree.
Honestly i dont see the human species being mature enough to figure out and implement what you mention without a war.
Thats probably why so many are into collonizing space, easier to start from scratch…
While I’m a big fan of automation in the right context (mindless repetitive tasks that humans shouldn’t be doing) you seem to assume that AI is going to be inherently better than the human variant. There’s no evidence so far that this might be true, and no theoretical reason why it would necessarily be true in future. The more likely outcome is that AI will be used either to make life more complicated and angst-ridden than it already is for no obvious purpose (see the movie Her for an example), or as an explicit tool of oppression (see China).
I got the plain vanilla cone. Really good! The consistency reminds me of the custard ice cream you can get at Culver’s, in the Midwest. Definitely better than Mickey D’s.
For take home ice cream, single sized I like this as low NT$11 (if buy a multi bag) at the Hyper Markets, NT$20 at Family Mart which normally only has Milk Flavor (White), not the others.
