Objectivity and bias in media

California Assembly Bill 5 moves to expel freelance journalists based there by capping the number of articles a freelancer can submit to any one publication to 35 per year.

Written by a labor organizer, it’s mission ostensibly is to force employers to hire freelancers as employees and then extend workplace benefits to them. There will be many unintended consequences, though. Certainly it will be much more difficult to launch a new conservative news service (like Breitbart, for example). It will also likely act to codify California’s pro-left news bias.
