So this evening I followed the indications of my mechanic and finally found the offroad circuit he told me about some time ago. I’m sure that for professionals this one would be a bit limited, but it’s still fun, and more if it’s your first time like me today
It has a couple of jumps (one of them tall enough for also climbing its side), some waves, dunes, or whatever you call it in line, and then two or three sharp curves with a lot of slope (I guess that there’s an English term for what I tried to described). Right next to this one, there’s another area for gas-gas type bikes, those skinny jumping things capable of climbing rocks and other humand made obstacles
There’s a bigger and better one in Linkou, but I haven’t visited it yet.
Well, my tyres are BT-39 and my bike has not so many ponies, so I guess that I could have dealt better with the mud if I had a propper machine, but as I say, it was a lot of fun.
If somebody is interested I can try to post here the coordenates. I have saved the spot on Sygic but I’m not sure if it tells you those things.
I don’t know yet, my mechanic has to take me there or at least tell me the location.
Electric bikes? that sounds interesting! I’ve seen some gas gas a a folk with a honda, but I couldn’t imagine that there were electric moto cross bikes. How many h.p. do they have?
I haven’t decided yet what to do today, but I might drop by there again, this time with the gopro I can’t make any impressive trick, but would like to send a video to my friends in my country.

Terms…
some waves = whoops
three sharp curves with a lot of slope= Berms
Those whoops would be good to learn on. There’re not so bad. There are plenty of books which helped me. So, you’re free to ignore them since YouTube is here.
Check out this video. I watched it and it’s full of good tips.
Thanks man, I will check it. BTW, I noticed that my bike is way too heavy on the front part, making it fall after a small jump in a not so convenient position.
Don’t blame the bike, It’s you causing that. You’re body position is probably wrong for what you’re trying to do.[/quote]
I think that it’s both things. I know that I’m too in the front, but I have the feeling that dirt bikes are lighter in the front end. EI would say that even the front wheel is heavier than a dirt bike’s.

You are talking about the CPI 250 right? The front end on that thing stock is way light. The rake and trail of the forks might make it feel heavy but trust me it’s not.
Focus on your riding style. Your bike has little to do if your fast or not on the track.
Nice! Took the fall like a champ! Looks like your front just washed out. You’d see an improvement with some proper tires. Threads a bit dated, so maybe you’ve taken care of that bit. Do ya still have the bike?
Ah, the Dakar. It’s a possible purchase when I’m ready to buy a bigger bike. Prices are pretty decent now. But I fear it might be too heavy for a lot of what I ride in the mountains. You can’t beat a little 250 trail bike for that tight technical stuff.
Probably when I become an “old man” I’ll use it for light trail riding and touring the island.
