Oh shit - about to get mega bored

i’ve done it again: waited until the day before CNY to realise
i have no plans, no freinds and nothing much to do for the next 8 days - stuck in the 'Zhong.
any point in heading up to Taipei?
any chance of a hotel there?
where’s good for fresh air?

Good lord, what I wouldn’t give to be in your position.

Enjoy!

Head up on the train, buy a cheap bike, ride around the north point and down the east coast to Haulien. See how long that takes you, going easy and exploring.

Me, I’m enjoying some time with my girls, and blessing the mobile hotspot on my iPhone and games on the iPad.

Go to HK if you can swing it. I just left HK for Guangdong (my best friend’s village) yesterday and HK was really busy with CNY stuff for the few days I was there.

I plan to become reacquainted with my bellybutton.

Sleeping.

Eating.

Some hiking and photography.

Maybe a little romance.

Or porn.

Gonna be fantastic.

Not much different from the past 3 months for me really. I’ll enjoy it but it’s nothing special. When you work at home, every day is a holiday, or a workday. Or both.

There’s always plenty to do if you have a bit of imagination. If you have transport, then there will be loads to do.
Wake up early, dust off that lethargy and get out there, and don’t come back 'till after sundown.
I would’t go up to Taipei though, as it’s raining during CNY as usual. Which is why I refuse to be there.

It’s been great to just kick back and recharge for the past two days. Tomorrow, I head to the Land of the Rising Sun. Konichiwa, everyone!!!

If I were I would spend a meditative 3 days of fasting and exploring why you don’t have friends or plans.

i already know why!
its just difficult to deal with sometimes~

My suggestion: with all the free time you have, do whatever you want to do. Personal projects or hobbies you’ve been neglecting because of work commitments? Do them. Place you’ve been meaning to visit when you have the free time? Go there.

I can give you a free lift down to Kaohsiung on the 24th (by car), but that’s about it. You could be able to find some cheap-ass hostel with a free bed there and perhaps head to Kenting later.

thanks man! I stopped taking up random offers of hospitality from these esteemed boards since - well, since last time! have a good one!

 That’s funny.

You don’t want to be anywhere near Kenting for the next week anyway. It’s a goddamn zoo.

Are more people staying home this year? My little village seems to be less of a total nightmare than usual this year. Perhaps it’s too early to call though.

At great personal sacrifice and if you are a truly sincer kind of person.

Wow - that’s so nice! it’s cool that everyone is invited. Maybe this is some kind of American hospitality thing?

As you prefer. Wish you best of luck!
