# ‘Online’ Bank’s xenophobic reasoning for denying "foreigners" the ability to open an account online

I mean I am just speechless, they didn’t even try to make an argument, this is a very bureaucratic middle finger and reiteration of “we do the fuck we want, shut up u moron”:

they literally just said: we know there are no actual reasons for online banks not to accept foreigners, we said that in an official document, but we can’t be asked to do our job and enforce the rules, so banks can do whatever they want, peace.

Will follow up with the control yuan, I hoped for a more elaborated BS to try to excuse themselves, they don’t care at all.
