Has anyone tried booking online thru EVA Air’s website? Is it cheaper than getting a ticket from a travel agency? :?
I’ve used it a couple of times - for San Fran and Europe. I remember it being about NT$2000 cheaper.
I just did it last week for a flight to Bangkok for my boyfriend. The price was so good, I didn’t bother calling a travel agent (which is unusual for me, becuase I used to be one). It was very easy. I would recommend it.
If it’s a big trip, though, you might be better off with a travel agent. You just have to shop around!
I don’t know about the policy of EVA but booking only with Cathay Pacific is definitely not cheaper.
It’s about 30% more expensive as going through a travel agent. TPE-HKG-TPE (online 16-17K), (agent 10-11K).
Maybe EVA has another sales policy.
Yes booking on-line with CX is more expensive. I tried it! 
In general, travel agents should be able to give you a better deal.
