Online shopping

How can I understand which shops are authentic in online shopping websites?

For example: in shopee you can see which shops are authentic like this one https://shopee.tw/samsungtw

Is there similar way for momoshop or other ones?

By “authentic” do you mean “official” or “legally licensed”? My impression of most Shopee sellers (and I’m a seller on Shopee) is that they may sell new and authentic items at whatever they want. These are parallel importers or gray marketeers. It would be up to the licensor (like Samsung’s Taiwan office) to decide if it was worth the time and effort to file suit. In the case of a Shopee seller who was moving a lot at competitive prices, that answer is probably, “Yes”

I have seen the same products in two multiple stores with a huge price difference. So, I am trying to understand if there is any way to figure out if any product is authentic or not before ordering.

I use MomoSHOP often and everything seems to be from the official seller and either shipped from the Momo warehouse or direct from the distributor or manufacturer. MomoMALL appears to be more like Shopee. In reverse, general Shopee is random sellers, while Shopee Mall is either from Shopee or large distributors. It seems to be the same for Yahoo Shopping (tw.buy.yahoo.com), while Yahoo Auctions (tw.bid.yahoo.com) is random sellers. Rakutan looks like every online shop vomited onto a domain, I can’t sort it out, but I think it’s a mix of official distributors and small ones. Ruten is an old dinosaur. They have a filter for certified sellers, but fewer official distributors seems to sell there.
So if you stick with Momoshop, you’ll be ok. I suggest using sites like Findprice.com.tw to find the lowest prices at different stores. I have the Feebee extension installed which shows where the product is available on different sites with prices and the price history on the site you’re looking at.
For anything else, look at how long they’ve been in business and their feedback. The crappy sellers don’t last long.

I see. Thanks for clarifying some things. I have always heard good things about momo.

The same is true of the PCHome main site, though there’s also a seller hosting site.
