My goodness no. This is yet another escalation in thought control and a signal that things are about to get worse for the Chinese. In particular China being one that cracks down on free speech appears to be showing its cards that they expect increased suffering from Financial, Health, and Legal issues, so much that they need to double down on cracking down on those areas.
I donāt see it as so bad that there are YouTubers who talk about medicine without being doctors, or who talk about other things, and I donāt see that as censorship, or when you need a doctor you go see a lawyer, lol
So similarily, can someone set up a doctors office and dispense advice like āburn this sage around your painful area and then lay this stone on the nightstand beside your bedā and click like on my Youtube channel so Iāll get some income from it?
Maybe Youtube āadvisorsā should at least be required to display their qualifications clearly.
In many places doctors are required for protection and transparency. Mechanics, etc. do it.
There is a guy on TicTok I followed for awhile that called himself a doctor. Found out he had a doctorate degree, but not in medicine. DUH.

You should be able to say what you want to say, but face consequences of the law or public scrutiny. If these people without financial degrees say things thatās against the law, then prosecute them accordingly. Otherwise, let their viewers judge for themselves. What does a degree have to do with whether people can express their views or not?

To be fair, in todayās economy, this is increasingly becoming a legitimate way for young, inexperienced people with no skills or talent to make a relatively honest living.
And where do these young inexperienced folks go when they no longer want to influence? Maybe wanna settle down, get off Medicaid, buy a house.
Your analyses misses that influencers trade long-term economic stability and skill building for short-term gig work.
And what defines young? I see influencers in their 30s and 40s more than twenty somethings. I donāt use TikTok though. Maybe theyāre all there.
More people in their 50s and 60s for the bread lines I suppose . Yay the future!
