Quick question. Once I get my APRC, I need to apply for the open work permit. Does anyone know where I need to apply in Kaohsiung for the open work permit?

You need to go to the same place where you applied for your APRC. They give you a form which you fill in, post to Taipei, I think, and then you should get it about a week later. It’s been a while, but I remember it as being a very easy procedure.

Fill a form or two provided by the office, near Zhonghua Rd No.39, 10F.
Copy of passport
Copy of ARC/including the back page
100 TWD.
In Taipei, you could wait for 30 minutes

For anyone’s info. Got my aprc. If you are married to a local, you do not need a separate open work permit. It works like a marriage arc in this respect.
