a fast talking hinet rep just called and convinced me to upgrade to this from adsl. anyone know anything about it?
I got the same call, actually my wife got the call and was convinced. So they are gonna drop by this week to install it. I’ll let you know if it makes any difference. It’s 100NT more per month. I’m not sure if my wife heard right or not, but the guy said we would be getting 10MB upload speed, up from the 2MB we currently have now.
At least Youtube works better on it, I’ve found.
I asked CHT a while back about upgrading, but my apartment building doesn’t have it. 
Thankfully, cable modem has been very fast and reliable for me in the interim. I don’t have that YouTube problem anymore either. Pretty much any streaming video works flawlessly as well. So far, so good.

After 2 days of use I would say that there is a slight increase in overall loading speed of webpages, but nothing mind blowing. But the most significant change was that YouTube vids load right away now. No more freezing up or having to wait till they load and play the vids again to view them continuously. Also, I found that bit torrent was quite fast. I downloaded two 800MB movies at the same time in around an hour. Is that good?
hows the upload? i quit most of my bittorrenting cause my upload would get my accounts banned on sites that require you to upload a certain amount when you download
after a few weeks, my verdict is it’s worth the extra $100. seems fairly better.
