Could anyone tell us if there are any good optometrists in Taipei who speak English and are on the governement health care scheme? One of my eyes goes blurry sometimes.

Thank you. Went to Dr. Shao’s clinic. They really do speak English and a very helpful nurse ensured that everything was communicated clearly at reception! (The doctor’s English is good.) Seem like nice people, too - polite and welcoming. Also competent at their jobs. The only thing I wonder about is that I did come away with a lot of drugs I’m not sure I needed - that seems to be the norm here in Taiwan.
