Orwell Revisited: Propaganda as "News"

This investigation seems to mirror the report by the US GAO (General Accounting Office) back in early 2005 which revealed that the Neo-Jacobin criminals in the White House had released videotapes of “news” items which were then broadcast by the mainstream corporate media outlets.
The bastards also had “journalists” on thier payroll!

State-sponsored news! a la Pravda or People’s Daily! :loco:

Fake news stories planted for the sheeple to digest! (cheered on by the so-called “right” and the “evangelical movement” [non-Christian nativist thugs]). :notworthy:

More reporters were kicked out of the Neo-Jacobin’s archipelago of prison camps

Perhaps those reporters should know by now that the Cheney admin. does not tolerate independent journalism. Any one of them could have found this URL:

These days, under Neo-Jacobin rule, it is best if a reporter just print the “talking points” which are distributed. OR become a gay prostitute:

stop it Karl! ooh - stop it Karl - it hurts! :help:

This is absolutely correct, with 2 exceptions 1) the implication that this is somehow new 2) the implication that the white house is the only one doing this.

Is “Neo-Jacobin” the latest left-wing wack job phrase?

Whatever happened to…‘neocon’…? Did it lose its supposed bite?

I really must keep up with things… :cluck:

War news has always been tightly controlled. Vietnam was a horrifying exception for the government, and this has since been rectified.

Is is Eurasia or Oceana this month? I can’t remember. Damn, have to get off to my next Struggle Session. Those bloody Stinking Ninths interrupting my day again.

I think I’d take neo-Jacobin as a compliment. After all Jacob was a pretty cool guy, I mean, c’mon, how many people can you think of that wrestled with God?

I thought he just built a ladder…and then went to prison with Stephen King

News just in…

Last week, the United States eliminated Iraq’s No. 1 terrorist, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
This week, Al Qaeda announced his successor: Abu Ayyub al-Masri.
When asked why, an Al Qaeda spokesperson said: "We have a lot of leftover stationery that says: ‘From the desk of Abu.’ "

…back you Chet…

Actually Jacob sang in a band called the wallflowers. Somehow he never lived up to his old dad Bob though.

I thought that this term was defined on another thread…in any case it is commonly used, and therefore easily found with an internet search.

Neo-Con was never appropriate since these criminals were never conservative.

More and more “conservatives” are starting to join the opposition to the Neo-Jacobin thugs who have hijacked the executive branch:

“Millions of conservatives across this nation believe this war was unconstitutional, unaffordable, and worst of all, unnecessary.”
– Rep. John J. Duncan Jr., Republican congressman from Tennessee, the Volunteer State, so nicknamed because of the readiness of its citizens to volunteer to fight in America’s just and necessary wars.
