And the good old Dubya administration NEVER did anything like this right?
I wish the UN would hurry up and charge GWB with war crimes, crimes against humanity, human rights abuses etc…just excercising my right to free speech![/quote]
The UN, unless I am mistaken, didn’t actually go to Africa and start raping women. Nor, and again I’d like to think I am not mistaken, have they gone out and openly commited human rights crimes. What they have done is to be neglectful when such crimes have been committed by others.
So the second thing is that with what autority would the US be able to charge an international group with the aforementioned neglect?
The US stance on the UN often appears to be that they don’t recognize the authority of the UN. But I doubt the US Govt. themselves have any authority to ‘charge’ the UN with anything.

Totally agree jd, the UN basically allowed the Bush administration to go over their heads with this whole Iraq invasion. They’re almost useless…or spineless.
The US led military have killed countless innocent civilians and the only accountability they have is to say “Oops, missed it by that much” when they get found out. This whole Al Qaeda vs US thing is a crock of shit that’s largely been manufactured by the Spin Doctors working for GWB.
It’s only a matter of time before the game is up, already some European hard hitters have expressed disapproval at the US policies on the Middle East and i imagine they will do something proactive but non aggressive about it.
Lets wait and see.
Well…I rest easy now that the “European Heavy-Hitters” and thier diplomacy have successfully resolved the issue on Iran… or…possible the US should respond with the same determination and moral clarity that Europeans did when resolving the war in the Balkans or Kosovo.
