Outputting mp3 from PC to loudspeakers

I have all my music as mp3 files on my PC. I want to buy a couple of good speakers, and listen to my music without headphones.

What do I need - is it as simple as linking PC-amplifier-speakers?
What sort of amp would be sufficient for that? I’m happy to spend some money but don’t want to buy anything that’s overkill for my requirements.
Is that kind of equipment (mid-range audio) expensive here? I’ve no idea.

Any audiophile input greatly appreciated, as I haven’t a clue .

   . I didn’t find that one. Will read later.

Those speakers look pretty awesome!! Just to add some variety you could consider the following too:

  • Swan M10
  • Audioengine A2 or A5

All “active” speakers so built in amp, keeping things simple (and cheaper) if you want to connect direct to computer without a separate amp.
